Warrior Dancers at Montezuma Castle

Montezuma Castle National Monument is hosting a Summer Concert Series featuring Native musicians and dancers performing under a full moon. For the final event of the summer, the Camp Verde Warrior Dancers will perform the Apache Crown Dance. The series is sponsored by Western National Parks Associatio­n, a non-profit education partner of the National Park Service.

Grand Canyon Music Festival

The Catalyst String Quartet will perform two nights in a row during the 35th season of the Grand Canyon Music Festival. The Friday night performanc­e will feature music inspired by angels, including “The Named Angels,” by American composer Mohammed Fairouz. On Saturday, the quartet will take the audience on a musical tour of the American Northern Hemisphere, including music by Philip Glass, Caroline Shaw and the Catalyst’s Jessie Montgomery.

Thunder Over Flagstaff Air Show

This family-friendly event features an airport open house and car display, airplane flights for kids ages 8-17, a food truck festival, helicopter flights, military and civilian aircraft on display and more.

‘Stranger Things’ laser show

The new show at the EOS Planetariu­m Theater at the University of Arizona’s Flandrau Science Center features a laser light show set to songs from the popular Netflix series “Stranger Things,” including music by Duran Duran, Cyndi Lauper and The Clash. Tickets cannot be purchased in advance but you can call 520621-4516 to snag a spot on the ticket reservatio­n list.
