GILBERT – Stan Krueger, 91, of Gilbert, AZ passed away peacefully on Friday August 10, 2018. Born February 23, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY. Stan was the youngest of three children. He graduated from Richmond Hill High in 1944. He joined the Navy and was an electricia­ns mate at the end of WWII. He then signed on with the US Naval Reserve and worked out of Floyd Bennett Field for 20 years. He graduated from Fordham University in 1952. He joined the New York City Police Department in 1953, was promoted to detective and worked out of the 17th precinct in Manhattan until he retired in 1973. He then moved his family to Scottsdale, AZ where he worked for American Express as an inspector until his retirement in 1990. He was a loving husband of 47 years to Priscilla who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his second wife Marian (Garrettson). He was a beloved father, grandfathe­r, great grandfathe­r and a friend to all. He is survived by his children Susan, Robert, Richard (Peggy) and Russell, grandchild­ren Holly, Nicole, Sara, Emily, Katie, Lauren and great grandchild Wade. A memorial service will be held at Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale on Sunday September 16th at 10:00 am. The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Comprehens­ive Hospice. If desired, friends may make donations to Comprehens­ive Hospice.
