MESA – Anna Ruth Paulson, 94, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Eveleth (Ely Lake), MN died peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Minocqua, Wisconsin with family at her side.

She was born 7-111924 in Two Harbors, MN to Aslaug and John Larsen. After graduating from Two Harbors High School and Duluth Business Academy, she traveled to Washington D.C. and worked in the War Department in the office of the Provost Marshal General and later in the War Food Administra­tion office in Duluth. On May 30, 1947 she married her high school sweetheart, H. Keith Paulson. Anna was a 50 year member of Our Saviors Lutheran church in Virginia, MN. She was active in Circle, Jobs Daughters Council and served as trip coordinato­r for the Mount Sabi Ski Club. Anna and her husband served as round dance instructor­s and callers in the Virginia Reelers Square Dance Club. After retirement, they became winter residents of Mesa, AZ. Anna enjoyed the outdoors, family camping, ski trips and gardening; however, family was her greatest love. Preceded in death by her husband, Keith, she is survived by her four children; Karen Zierdt (Jerry), Dr. John Paulson (Carole), Randi Sorensen (Bill) and Kristen Paulson Gibbons, 7 grandchild­ren and 9 great grandchild­ren.

Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapoli­s, MN. Memorials in her name have been establishe­d at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 1111 8th Street S., Virginia, MN 55792 and Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 612 S. Elsworth Rd., Mesa, AZ. 85208.
