Titans get LB Correa from the Ravens

-

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Titans know their newest player very well with a scouting report coming from their new defensive coordinator and not the quarterback.

The Titans acquired linebacker Kamalei Correa from the Baltimore Ravens for an undisclosed draft pick Tuesday. Correa played the past two seasons for Dean Pees, who had been the Ravens’ defensive coordinator before coming out of retirement to work for first-year head coach Mike Vrabel in Tennessee.

“Dean’s very familiar with him,” Vrabel said. “I’m excited to get to know him, kind of see what he can handle. Don’t want to overload anybody, just get him here find out what he can handle. Take a look at him on Thursday potentially and then moving forward where we see him best being able to fit us and help us.”

Correa was the 42nd pick overall in 2016 out of Boise State, and the 6-foot-3, 241-pound linebacker started four of his 25 games with Baltimore. Vrabel said Correa has shown versatility so far in his career playing on and off the ball, having had a good preseason with Baltimore.

Beckham wants to be legendary, says he’s done nothing yet: Odell Beckham Jr. isn’t satisfied being the NFL’s highest-paid receiver.

The three-time Pro Bowler for the New York Giants wants much more than the $95 million deal the team agreed to pay him Monday. The 25-year-old wants to be a legend. He wants success, championships and a bust in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

As far as he is concerned, he hasn’t accomplished anything in his first four seasons with the Giants. The best is yet to come.

In a wide-ranging interview Tuesday, Beckham said the broken left ankle he sustained last season might have been the best thing to ever happen to him. It forced him to struggle to get back on the field and helping him mature after many slipups off the field.

Beckham, who was in the final year of his rookie contract, never doubted a new deal would be done before the start of the season.

Raiders propose 4 off-site parking areas for Vegas stadium: The Oakland Raiders are proposing four off-site parking locations to accommodate fans and others attending games and events at their stadium in Las Vegas.

A proposal submitted to Clark County officials shows shuttle buses would transport people between the 65,000seat stadium and the parking locations.

The Raiders plan to start the 2020 season at the stadium being built across the freeway from the Las Vegas Strip.

County officials have allowed the team to have far fewer than the required 16,250 parking spots at the stadium site due to space limitations.

The report estimates the longest one-way shuttle ride would take 10 to 13 minutes.

The report states the locations and available space at the stadium would provide up to 14,650 parking spaces.

Bengals agree to extensions with DE Dunlap, DT Atkins: The Bengals have agreed to contract extensions with defensive tackle Geno Atkins and end Carlos Dunlap, who were entering the final years on their deals.

Dunlap tweeted about the deals, which weren’t immediately confirmed by the Bengals. Atkins’ agents confirmed on Twitter he got a four-year deal, while Dunlap was extended for three years.

Atkins made his sixth Pro Bowl and led the Bengals with nine sacks last season, the most by an NFL interior lineman. He has 61 sacks in his eight seasons, most by a Bengals interior lineman.

Dunlap’s best season was 2015, when he had 13½ sacks, second-most in club history.
