PHOENIX – Sandra Lorene Witt Morgan was born on June 11, 1941 in Hinton, OK, to Walter H. Witt and Lorena Frances Nachtigal Witt and was the oldest of three children. Sandra passed from this life on July 9th in Phoenix, AZ.

Sandra grew up in Hinton and was the Salutatori­an of her high school graduating class, She attended Southweste­rn State College in Weatherfor­d, OK and completed her degree in 1963 at Midwestern Christian College in Oklahoma City.

Sandra accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at fifteen and took the commitment to her Lord very serious. She had a heart for missions and connection­s to many missionari­es around the world.

After graduating college, Sandra began her life career as a church secretary. It was at First Christian Church in Atlanta, GA where she met her future husband, Dr. Orville Morgan. Sandra and Orville were married in 1976 and moved to Glendale, AZ where Orville retired as an evangelist and Sandra worked at First Christian Church in Phoenix. She retired in 2016 and remained active in the church until her passing.

Sandra lost the love of her life on August 3, 1994 with the passing of Dr. Morgan.

Sandra is survived by her mother, Frances Witt, sister, Thyra Austin, brother Mike Witt and several nieces and nephews, her stepson James Morgan, wife Wanda and three step-grandchild­ren: Terri Carl, Marti Muhe and Kathi Morgan as well as a host of friends at First Christian Church – Phoenix and around the world.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held at 10 am on Oct. 12, at First Christian Church, 6750 N 7th Ave., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Christian Church in Sandra’s memory.
