PHOENIX – 76, of Phoenix, AZ beloved son of Robert and Jewel (Brogdon) Donahue passed away peacefully on September 25, 2018. Preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Patricia and his only brother Robert Thomas. Loving father of David (Sarah) and Christophe­r (Lineva). Proud grandfathe­r of Tamara, Shaun, Jacob and Carly; Great grandfathe­r of Tobias, Jax, Damon and Cairo.

David is also survived by his four loving sisters Marjorie, Georgia, Susann and Martha and many nieces and nephews.

David was an Arizona native who graduated from Peoria High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University. This multi-faceted man worked tirelessly as an aircraft mechanic (DME), crop-duster and airline pilot with Frontier Airlines, Hughes Air West, Sunworld Airlines and America West Airlines. During his tenure with America West Airlines, David served as a check airman and spent time in the Chief Pilot’s office as a Flight Manager. After retiring as a Captain at America West, he was able to pursue his passion for cattle and pistachio trees as the founder of Diamond Z Ranch in Bowie, AZ. David had an innate desire to help others and made a friend of everyone he met. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all.

Services will be held Saturday, October 13th at 12:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes. 7924 N. 59th Ave. Glendale, AZ 85301.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation be made to Hospice of the Valley.
