Covington, 5-10, 175, doesn’t have a Division I offer yet, but he should. Lots of them. He simply dials up big plays on offense . ... Backup junior QB J.D. Johnson, 6-4, 195, has Power 5 offers and he’s not even the starter . ... Senior DB/WR Quinton Powell sees time on offense but he could be special on defenses at the next level. He has five interceptions and a forced fumble.

Liberty (7-0)

Ryan Puskas, LB, 6-3, 205, Sr. Committed to California, you’ll be able to see why the Golden Bears wanted him so badly with his relentless play on defense. It seems like he is in almost every tackle. With a great nose for the ball, Puskas forces turnovers. Braxten Croteau, DE, 6-5, 240, Sr. He also committed to Cal, where it wouldn’t be a reach to say he will make plays in the Pac-12 as a true freshman. Watch him get in the backfield. The key will be trying to bottle up Rattler and not let him extend plays with his legs. Jace Accurso, LB, 6-0, 215, Jr.

He’s a tank who is always in beast mode. Coach Mark Smith isn’t afraid to line him up as the Wildcat quarterback in the red zone. Great power, speed and heart that won’t be denied. He will get a ton of Division I looks.

Watch out for: Senior RB Jett Kinsch, 6-0, 205, can play Division I football. He just needs a chance. Doubt him and he’ll come back twice as strong . ... Senior DB Eli Pittman, 5-11, 183, is so good at locking down top receivers that even the best quarterbacks will look to the other side. Figure on him matching up against Pinnacle’s top receiver.
