Thank you, Ms. Warren, now I can go to Harvard, too

So, Elizabeth Warren is about somewhere between 1/64th and 1/1024th American Indian.

I also had my DNA tested and found that in addition to my 80 percent English-Irish, I am 4 percent American Indian.

So, I am seriously considering applying to Harvard.

Before I was sure I had no chance.

Give me Sinema’s self-control over McSally’s wild-eyed erraticism

I watched the McSally-Sinema debate Monday night. U.S. Rep. Martha McSally seemed quite defensive and explosive where U.S. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema appeared calm and in control.

I think it wise to consider one’s temperament when electing a senator, and I am much more comfortable with Sinema’s self-control than McSally’s wildeyed demeanor.

Give me McSally’s fiery passion over Sinema’s studied poise

Cleaned her clock, plain and simple. Congresswoman Martha McSally’s command of issues overwhelmed Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema’s platitudes in the U.S. Senate debate. The two candidates could not have been more different.

Sinema did make points in smiles and calm demeanor, which was nice. But, do we want poise or passion to represent us?

McSally answered every scurrilous attack against her and concisely explained her positions in detail. By contrast, the moderators had to press the long-winded Sinema for answers to simple questions.

Thank goodness for debates. The TV ads are so confusing. What’s true? Now we can judge for ourselves. Based on the debate, McSally’s plain spoken directness was refreshing and overwhelmingly impressive.

McSally more apt to follow Trump than to reach across the aisle

Krysten Sinema was poised, authentic and non-confrontational. She knows the issues and can articulate her positions without interrupting her opponent.

Martha McSally was energetic and articulate. Debate moderator Ted Simons had to go back to his question on privatizing Social Security and supporting vouchers to get an answer from her. She used the words “lie” and “outright lie” several times, interrupted her opponent and went over the time limit on some responses.

Sinema would work well across the aisle. She would have the freedom to agree or disagree with the president. McSally would be more apt to follow Trump’s positions, such as family separation at the border.

Where was Blasey Ford’s family, the people she grew up with?

All through the Christine Blasey Ford vs. Brett Kavanaugh fiasco, I kept asking myself why weren’t her parents and her siblings called to testify?

This was a family of successful lawyers that should have been perfect corroborating witnesses, but they weren’t ever even mentioned.

To the world, she was “Little Orphan Christine,” all alone at a strange house with drunken teenage boys. What was she doing there in the first place — this highly intelligent young girl from a wealthy family?

Did she think she was going to be the fourth for a game of bridge?
