No. 2 Clemson 59, Florida State 10: Trevor Lawrence threw four touchdown passes, and Clemson handed host Florida State its worst home loss in program history.

Lawrence completed 20 of 37 passes for 314 yards before staying on the sideline for good late in the third quarter. Tee Higgins and Amari Rodgers each had two touchdown receptions.

The Tigers (8-0, 5-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) moved to 8-0 for the seventh time in school history, including the third time in the last four seasons.

Wake Forest 56, Louisville 35: Matt Colburn II rushed for career highs of 243 yards and three touchdowns, Sam Hartman threw two TD passes and Wake Forest rolled up 591 yards in a rout of host Louisville.

The Demon Deacons (4-4, 1-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) had their way offensivel­y in a high-scoring matchup of schools seeking their first league win. They scored TDs on five of their first six first-half possession­s and broke 500 yards for the fourth time this season, the second in ACC play.

Virginia 31, North Carolina 21: Bryce Perkins threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as Virginia beat visiting North Carolina.

Perkins ran for 112 yards for the Cavaliers (6-2, 4-1 ACC), who are in first place in the ACC’s Coastal Division. They gained bowl eligibilit­y for the second year in a row, a first for the program since it went to four in a row from 2002-05. They also won their third conference game in a row for the first time since 2011.

Pitt 54, Duke 45: In a back-and-forth offensive battle, Pitt scored the last strike, with Kenny Pickett hitting Maurice Ffrench with five seconds left in the game to beat visiting Duke.

Pitt had leaned on its rushing offense for most of the game, but Pickett game through in crunch time, hitting Rafael Araujo-Lopes on a 17-yard pass, Tre Tipton for six yards and then an 11-yard scramble just before the game-winning pass to Ffrench. Pickett finished 8 of 18 for 150 yards and two touchdowns.
