Sylvester

With eyes a unique green as beautiful as the Northern Lights, Sylvester is a handsome 2-year-old domestic shorthair that has been thanking his lucky stars since being rescued by the Arizona Humane Society in late August. Sylvester never lost his kind and friendly spirit.

After he had a few weeks of treatment in AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital, it was found that the striking kitty cat does have chronic ear infections as well as FIV or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. FIV is often a misunderstood condition. It is extremely hard to transmit to other cats, and cats that have it often lead a healthy, normal life as long as their basic wellness needs are met.

Sylvester is a loving cat who only wants love and affection returned to him. As soon as someone comes near his kennel, he gets up to greet them and is an expert at giving cute kitty head bumps and letting you rub his adorably large cheeks. A bundle of joy in all aspects, Sylvester is described as a “big baby” who would love a spot next to his person to cuddle up and relax together. He also gets a big case of the wiggles when he’s happy!

HOW TO ADOPT: Sylvester will be available for adoption today at noon at the Arizona Humane Society’s Campus for Compassion at 1521 W. Dobbins Road in Phoenix. His adoption fee includes his neuter surgery, current vaccinations, microchips and a free follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital. For more information, call 602-997-7585 and ask for animal number 588077.
