Page Regatta

This popular annual event features dozens of colorful hot-air balloons rising with the bright blue sky and water of Lake Powell as a backdrop. Sign up for balloon flights, check out the Regatta Vendor Fair with live music, kids games and rides and more, and enjoy the Balloon Glow in the evening.

Tubac Fall Arts & Crafts Festival

This free event presents more than 100 artists and crafters along with food and other vendors from around the country.

Tucson Comic-Con

Described as a “community-based pop culture experience for all,” Tucson Comic-Con has something for all fans of fantasy, sci-fi and other genres. Attend panels hosted by creative pros from the industry, get autographs and photo ops with celebs and creators and check out the large exhibit hall.

Night Under the Stars

Observe the wonders of the night sky through telescopes at a dark-sky park. Please bring a red flashlight to protect night vision, or, for a donation, mini red flashlight­s will be available. Reserve your campsite online.

Walkin’ on Main, Cottonwood

This small town’s roots go back to mining, but today it’s all about wining and dining. Mostly wining. Grapes are the new motherlode as shown in this annual event featuring history, art and Verde Valley wineries.

New Release Festival, Sonoita Vineyards

If you’re the type who loves to be first, put this on your calendar. Eleven wineries (and one distillery) gather to release their latest vintages. For good measure, there will be a blessing of the vintage at noon, where all will be free to thank God for wine.

Sahuarita Pecan Festival

Come for the pecan pie, stay for the nut-cracking competitio­n. All things pecan will be featured in this annual event hosted by the Green Valley Pecan Company. Burn off a few calories at the Family Nut Run/Walk before digging into the many pecan-based dishes at the food court.
