Moe loves to show off
Every year, about 6.5 million companion animals enter shelters nationwide, according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Of those, about 3.3 million are dogs and 3.2 million are cats.

Moe
Energetic, smart and, of course, playful, Moe is about everything you would expect in a beautiful Labrador retriever mix and then some. Optimistic and excited about life, this 5-year-old looks at each new day as the awesome gift that it is. Found wandering the streets of Phoenix as a stray in early October, who knows what this handsome boy’s fate would have been if an Emergency Animal Medical Technician at the Arizona Humane Society hadn’t rescued him.
Moe is a great example of a human’s “best friend,” as he is extremely friendly and loves to hang out with all people. Playful and full of energy, he loves to show off his excellent retriever skills. When a good game of fetch starts, Moe’s tail starts a-waggin’! Of the many fun events Moe likes to partake in, playing with hoses and sprinklers might be one of his favorites.
With so much energy and love to give, Moe would probably do best in a home that also has a love for exercising, going on long walks or hikes. The gorgeous black lab mix would also do best if he can meet all members of the family to ensure that they can keep up with his playful, happy-go-lucky self, as well.
HOW TO ADOPT: Moe is available for adoption today at noon at the Arizona Humane Society’s Campus for Compassion at 1521 W. Dobbins Road in Phoenix. His adoption fee includes his neuter surgery, current vaccinations, microchips and a free follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital.
