SCOTTSDALE – Richard William Martuscelli, Jr. passed away peacefully on September 23, 2018 in Scottsdale, Arizona surrounded by his family. Rick suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm on January 16, 2018 and never recovered. Rick was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on October 11, 1953. Rick is survived by his adoring wife, Mary Kennedy Martuscelli; son Richard Martuscelli III, daughter-in-law, Roshny Martuscelli; grandson, Richard William Martuscelli IV (Will); mother Mary Helen Martuscelli; brothers and sisters, Janine Berg, Gina VanderWal, Tom and wife Anna Martuscelli and Jerry and wife Lynn Martuscelli; In-Laws Nancy and Bill Dunn, Patricia Morris, John and Anne Kennedy and Debra and Jeff Hannigan; and 16 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard William Martuscelli, Sr. Rick began his corporate career at Canteen Corporation and later Restaura before leaving and following his dream to become an entrepreneur. He owned a successful property management business, The Home Medic, and was loved by his clients. Rick was a leader, mentor and advisor to many and always willing to help those in need. His remarkable sense of humor, tenacity, and compassionate heart made it easy for him to create enduring relationships. Rick was a fiercely devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all. He made a huge impact on so many lives. Rick will be extremely missed by his family and countless friends. A Celebration of Rick’s life will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Arizona Science Center, 600 East Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Richard William Martuscelli Memorial Fund at the Arizona Community Foundation. The fund will make donations to nonprofit organizations that are working to find a cure for injuries or diseases of the brain.
