Trump may not be saying the right thing, but he’s doing it

- Henry Richards, Scottsdale Gloria Smith, Scottsdale real Christine Florendo, Surprise JoAnn Hansen, Scottsdale Joseph Warren, Phoenix

Donald Trump has stopped the threats from North Korea. He has stopped the bleeding in our foreign trade. He has put NATO on notice that they are going have to pay their fair share. He has allowed drilling for oil in areas where the Chinese, Venezuelans and others are drilling. He has brought unemployment down to the point that anyone who wants to work can find employment.

By contrast, John F. Kennedy brought us the Vietnam War, the Cuban missile crisis with Russia, the Bay Of Pigs fiasco, the attempted assassination of Castro, etc.

Yet Kennedy was popular because he always said the right things and had an apologist press to cover for him. Trump on the other hand dose the right things but says the wrong things and has the press against him.

I’ll take the one who said the wrong thing but does the right things.

Immigration isn’t a serious threat; it is the beginning of the U.S.

Why is it that on Election Day I feel we have to worry more about losing our voting rights and freedom of religion to GOP gerrymandering and voter suppression than we need to worry about the few women and children fleeing for their lives from their country to ours. Isn’t that how this whole democracy started anyway?

Taken alone, job numbers don’t tell story of American economy

I get upset when I see how many jobs are added to the economy without a reference to the the average annual salary.

You can add 500,000 jobs, but I believe most of those jobs will be held by people working two or three of them.

We cannot continue to add minimum-wage jobs and think we are all doing great! We need middle-class income jobs to count them as jobs.

I heard on the radio only about 23 percent of people actually have a middle-class living salary. That is a disgrace.

A challenge that confronts all of us despite our party labels

Thank you for the great article about Citizens Climate Lobby.

It is time that we recognize climate change and take responsibility for what we have caused.

It is not just a Democratic or Republican issue, it is an issue for all of us who inhabit the earth.

The ads make this the most obnoxious election cycle of my life

So the fifth Democrat knocked on my door to ask for my wife again.

That’s five door knocks, one in the rain, two on Saturday alone, and personal hand written post cards from people she doesn’t know about losing women’s rights.

This has been the most obnoxious election cycle I have ever witnessed.

They didn’t ask for me. I voted Trump and will vote for him again.

All these Big Blue states have hordes of people moving here for cost of living. You would think they would learn something.

It was their voting that made their home state unaffordable and undesirable to live in.

So put your signs away please and quit harassing people. If they don’t want to vote, good!
