By comparison, the Democratic candidates all shine brightly

- Nicholas Madison, Phoenix Warren Kotzmann, Gilbert Len Gingerich, Phoenix Avis McCarthy, Buckeye

Please stop writing about how the Democratic candidates are scaring away potential voters. If you can’t see that Trump is a pervert and everything about him is perverse, you have no objectivity.

There is no greater threat to the future of our country than the continuation of the illegitimate president. The entire Democratic field can speak in full sentences and doesn’t habitually lie just for the sake of lying.

So please, stop wasting paper and ink with the rubbish that you are scared of Democratic candidates. Such pundits and voters aren’t persuadable.

The Democratic candidates all have something Trump doesn’t: a brain, a heart and a soul.

Next to all the 2020 Democrats, Trump looks distinguished

Currently there are about 20 Democratic presidential candidates running for the nomination. President Trump should lose to most of them on the basis of intellect, temperament, honesty, integrity, experience, knowledge of world affairs, dignity, charisma and a host of other qualities.

However, in the first debates the candidates engaged in trying to outdo one another by pandering shamelessly to every fringe group. They irrationally promised to increase entitlements without addressing fiscal responsibility and generally avoiding any discussion of policies that would appeal to thoughtful moderates.

Absent the surprise emergence of a candidate who displays enough courage to run above the pack, in the minds of many voters Trump will lead in the one category that will win him a second term. That is the “better-than-the-alternative” category.

I rooted against the US Women’s team and its ‘ugly Americans’

I was rooting for the Netherlands women’s soccer team during their World Cup loss to the U.S. women’s team.

The primary reason for this was Megan Rapinoe with her rude and arrogant attitude of not respecting our national anthem by not standing for it and also by refusing a potential visit to the White House with a profanity.

She is by her actions bringing the phrase “ugly American” back into vogue by those of us who remember the ’60s and ’70s.

Her subsequent explanation that she regards herself a true American means nothing to me. She is not a good ambassador for the United States.

Actions speak louder then words. Megan Rapinoe did not deserve the World Cup win.

Angry about migrant centers? Blame the Democrats and AOC

In response to Gregory Bernstein’s letter regarding “immigrant centers”: Those who have been directly responsible for the state of the detention centers are called Democrats.

They are the ones who feel that by keeping this issue alive they’ll raise their election hopes in 2020.

Many of them voted no to appropriate funds to alleviate the conditions in these centers, including the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who grandstanded (as usual) by politicizing her visit to these facilities instead of acting like the congresswoman she was elected to be and voting yes to a bill that would help those she saw there.

AOC (as she is commonly called) prefers to spout nonsense and call as much attention as possible to herself rather than actually doing anything productive.

All talk and no action seems to be typical of the Democratic Party these days.

Let’s hope Nancy Pelosi can bring back a little sanity to her party in the not too distant future.
