Hummus products pose possible risk

A Texas-based company has recalled a variety of hummus products because of a possible Listeria risk.

The contaminant was found at a Pita Pal Foods manufacturing facility during a Food and Drug Administration inspection, the agency said Tuesday.

The recall affects more than 80 products made between May 30 and June 25 and distributed nationwide and to the United Arab Emirates, the press release states. The brands affected are Bucee’s, Fresh Thyme, Harris Teeter, Hummus Hummus, Lantana, Lidl, Pita Pal, Reasor’s, Roundy’s, Schnucks and 7-Select.

Consumers are urged to return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund. Among the impacted products:
