Zany Dems make Trump’s slogan ‘Look at Alternatives’

If I didn't know better, I would think the Democratic debates were sponsored by the committee to re-elect Donald Trump.

Do Democrats believe they will gain traction by trashing our first black president, Barack Obama?

With the economy booming and full employment do they think Americans want to shift to socialism from capitalism?

Do they think our citizens want to foot the bill for health care and education for people in our country illegally.

Perhaps most important, why would Democrats think we want our health care taken over by the federal government. We have a perfect example of that in the Veterans Administration, which has been rife with fraud, unacceptable wait times and poor care.

And then the really brilliant idea of eliminating the use of fossil fuels which would paralyze almost all forms of transportation.

If this keeps up, President Trump won't have to campaign much, he will merely have to say look at the alternatives.

Trim government, send the rest of the Republicans on home

Here’s a place where government can trim the budget immediately:

Send all GOP senators home without pay, except for Mitch McConnell.

As leader of the Senate he refuses to put any bills from the House out for a vote, making all other GOP senators useless.

Because of McConnell’s actions, the remaining GOP senators are simply sitting around sucking money from the government, and we all know how much the Republicans abhor "taking from the public trough."

As long as McConnell plays dictator with a (supposed to be) functional government, all the others can go home, without pay and without their pensions.

We can’t just detect wrong-way drivers; we need to prevent them

Three more wrong-way driving accidents shown on TV today. One TV-news report says that the Department of Public Safety’s new detection system has discovered scores of wrong-way drivers and prevented or stopped NONE.

There needs to be an effort to keep drivers from entering the freeway to go the wrong way in the first place, not just detecting them after they are already going the wrong way.

Wrong-way drivers enter the freeway going in at freeway off-ramps. They should be stopped before they enter.

Once they are on the freeway, it is to late. I once told DPS that they should put spike strips (like those at car-wash entrances) at these off- ramps to stop them before they enter.

But Forrest Gump the Chocolate Guy at DPS said they will not work at high speeds on the freeway. If Spike Strips are put at these wrong way exits, cars will be slower and the spikes should work. Maybe an electronic detection system could make these spikes rise up.

The global left will be relentless in the pursuit of more free stuff

The important thing to remember about the far left globally is that they are relentless in the pursuit of socialism and communism. If they don’t win in 2020, they will take what gains they get and be back in 2024.

A op-ed noted, “The revolutionaries are betting…that Mr. Trump’s polarizing presidency has opened a new opportunity.”

I think they see a perfect storm. In addition to Mr. Trump, they have seized control of our education system to produce brainwashed, politically naive young voters; they’ve de-stigmatized drug use, embraced identity politics and the politics of class envy, all with the backing of a large majority of the news media.

Add to this the promise of free education, free insurance, free everything, with the promise that it will be paid for by “the rich and the corporations” with no consequences to the future.

In spite of the few moderates warning, “Be careful what you wish for – you may get it,” the left understands that “If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you will always have the support of Paul.”
