Here are the new foods to try during the Suns season

Fans can enjoy new items for the upcoming Phoenix Suns 2019-2020 season at Talking Stick Resort Arena.

The 51st season of NBA basketball in Phoenix tips off on Wednesday, Oct. 23, with a home game against the Sacramento Kings.

Attendees can grab dinner or a midgame snack from close to 30 concession stands and restaurant­s located on the main and upper concourses at Talking Stick, including the new Cooperstow­n concession stand and Hornitos Taco Bar.

Cooperstow­n returns as a concession stand

Two new vendors competitio­n this year.

Cooperstow­n, a new concession stand located near section 102, is a collaborat­ion with Phoenix classic rocker and Hall of Fame star Alice Cooper.

Cooperstow­n operated as a brick and mortar restaurant at 141 E. Jackson St. for 18 years before closing in October 2017.

Now, almost exactly two years later, the restaurant will reopen at Talking Stick Resort Arena.

style classics and two new food items:

❚ Cuban Sandwich: Smoked pork and ham topped with pickles, dijon mustard, mayo and Swiss cheese served on a hoagie roll for $13.

❚ Nightmare Dog: A foot long allbeef hot dog topped with jack cheese sauce, onion, tomato, jalapeno, sauerkraut and sweet relish for $15.

Another new restaurant will grace the arena this season: Hornitos Taco Bar. The new concession stand is located near section 115 and will offer a menu of street tacos, handmade tortillas, salsas and a selection of Hornitos margaritas and palomas.

The menu includes:

❚ Street Tacos: Choice of carnitas, fajita chicken or vegetarian potato and soyrizo served with fire-roasted salsa verde and lime for $11.

❚ Fried Avocados: Deep-fried avocado wedges served with spicy chipotle aioli for $12.

❚ Carnitas Nachos: Shredded pork carnitas, melted jack cheese sauce, roasted tomatillo salsa and pickled jalapenos served over corn tortilla chips for $11.

In addition to the entirely new concession stands, some existing vendors are adding new menu options this season.

Jim Beam Bourbon & Burger Bar, located near section 108, will serve a new featured burger every month through the Suns’ season. October brings a peanut butter and jelly burger with Jim Beam blackberry jelly for $13.

The burger bar will also feature a grilled cheese sandwich with shallots and leeks on sourdough bread for $12.

The House of Brews concession stand, located near section 101, has three new menu items this season: a Korean inspired cheesestea­k with bulgogi sauce and Korean chili aioli for $12, fried pickles with ranch for $9, and tater tots loaded with Philly-style beef, onions, peppers and melted cheese for $9.

Downtown Chicken, located near section 120, is adding a spicy chicken sandwich to its menu this season, selling for $12.
