The family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help pay for the boy’s funeral expenses. As of Sunday, it had raised $215 of a $12,000 goal. In a photo posted with the fundraiser, the boy is smiling and dressed in a blue graduation cap and gown.

“Hi friends and family, last night November 8th, my little cousin Elijah Ochoa Gámez only 14 years old was a victim of a senseless crime which unfortunately led to his passing,” wrote fundraiser organizer Sidney Avila.

“We are all grief stricken by this tragedy but still must plan for his funeral.

Any help would be greatly appreciated or even a share of this link. Long live King Elijah.”

Police released descriptions Sunday of the three people, hoping the public can help identify them.

The first suspect is described as a male, 20-30 years old, with curly dark brown hair. He is 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall with an average build and a possible scar under his left eye. He was seen riding a BMX-style bicycle.

The second suspect is described as a male, 20-30 years old, with blonde hair and a light-colored goatee. He is 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall with a thin build and a possible tattoo on his right arm. He had a white pit bull with spots, which was used in the attack against OchoaGámez.

The third suspect is described as a 30-year-old female with dark hair and an average build. She had tattoos on both arms, with a possible full sleeve on her left arm and a tattoo of a moon on her left chest.

The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for a potential reward, or the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000.
