Philip James Kenny, 81, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on November 1, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Orange, NJ on March 27, 1938, he was the son of the late John F. and Isabel A. Kenny.

He graduated from Villanova University in 1962, with a degree in Business. Philip married Michelle Forgie in 1964 and moved to Arizona in 1966 with their infant daughter, Tamara.

He began his career with Motorola in Recruitment and later worked in Human Resources. He retired from his position as Ethics Officer in the Office of Ethics and Compliance, of which he was a founding member.

As a teenager, Philip was an Eagle Scout and always maintained the integrity and dedication inherent in that achievement. In the early 1990’s, he joined the Y-Trekkers hiking group and enjoyed many years of hiking, both nationally and internationally, and the camaraderie of many dear friends.

In 1972, Philip and Michelle came into a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Philip walked a life of serving and generously giving to the less fortunate. Philip’s strong faith and love for the Lord was both easily visible and very active in his life. He had an avid interest in lighthouses and a profound appreciation for the parallels between lighthouses and the light of Jesus, calling and guiding us all to safety and refuge in Him.

Philip is survived by his wife Michelle Kenny, his children Tamara F. Kenny, Philip J. Kenny, Jr. (Julie), and Nicole Kenny Apostolakos (Phil), his grandchildren Isabelle Kenny, Sophia Apostolakos, Lilly Apostolakos, Jonahkai Kenny, and Sayler Kenny, his brother Peter W.
