Nordstrom also has a mainline store at Scottsdale Fashion Square, along with eight Nordstrom Rack locations around the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas and one Last Chance Clearance Store, in Phoenix. They are among 116 full-line Nordstrom stores and 247 Rack and other outlets scattered among 40 states.

Both Scottsdale Fashion Square and Chandler Fashion Center are properties of mall operator Macerich.

Store changes coming

Nordstrom plans to reopen its remaining stores in a “phased, marketby-market approach where allowed by local authorities and with the health and safety of employees, customers and communities as a priority,” the company said.

As stores reopen, Nordstrom plans new protocols focused on enhanced safety and sanitization.

These include different layouts to promote social distancing, limited group seating areas, the closing of some in-store restaurants, store-occupancy limits, reduced hours, ambassadors providing masks to shoppers who need them, health-screening for staff and Plexiglass partitions at check-out counters.

Also, fitting rooms will be sanitized after each visit, returned merchandise will be put on hold before placed back for sale and enhanced curbside pickups offered.

Some services that might remain temporarily unavailable include alterations, beauty makeovers, skincare treatments and specialized brow, prosthesis and bra-fitting services, the company said.
