Vintage market goes online this weekend
During the new coronavirus pandemic, it can be difficult to find a gift to show someone you’re thinking of them or shop for a Mother’s Day present.
The Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market in Scottsdale was canceled in April due to the pandemic, leaving 150 vendors without a big source of their income, like other events it has adapted. Beginning May 8, many of its vendors will sell their wares on the new online marketplace.
The semiannual sale “provides attendees with the opportunity to shop all things chippy, rusty, vintage and handmade,” according to co-founders Coley Arnold and Lindsey Holt.
“With our vendors out of work, this allows people to not only support local, but enjoy time shopping while being a part of the community we’ve created,” Holt said in a statement.
Over Mother’s Day weekend, 75 vendors will be selling apparel, furniture, jewelry, plants, artwork, home decor and skin care.

The online marketplace will remain open beyond this weekend. Stock will continue to be available online when the September and April in-person markets can take place again.
