Good Morning Arizona anchor sells Scottsdale estate for $2.69 million

Arched doorways, a dog washing station and a rooftop observatio­n deck are among the luxurious features found in some of this week's most expensive home sales in metro Phoenix.

Among the buyers and sellers: a Valley television morning news anchor, a lumber company executive and a former owner of a landmark Valley hotel.

Dean Bloxom, a chief strategic partnershi­p officer at loanDepot, an online mortgage lender, used a family trust to purchase a custom two-story mansion in the Firerock Country Club in Fountain Hills.

The 6,513-square-foot estate was completed in 2019 and has four bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Design features of the contempora­rystyle estate include arched doorways and wooden flooring. The home also comes with a large wine room, a dog washing station and a smart home system. John Schmitz was the seller.

Kathy P. Mohr of Seattle, Washington paid cash through a trust for a golf course lot estate in Scottsdale’s Estancia community.

The half-acre lot has mountain views and a backyard that includes a pool and an outdoor kitchen. There are four bedrooms and six bathrooms in the 6,219square-foot home.

The house was sold by Mark Vanderlind­e and Toby Thomas, as members of an Arizona limited liability company named after the address of the home. Mark Vanderlind­e is a real estate agent and listed the property.
