Blake Shelton has joined forces with the team behind the recent Garth Brooks drive-in concert for a live performance airing Saturday, July 25, at driveins across America, including eight Arizona locations.

Shelton’s show, which features Gwen Stefani and Trace Adkins, is the opening night of Encore Drive-In Nights, a summer concert series in which each performance will be filmed exclusively for a one-night-only event and include interviews and storytelling.

The metro Phoenix locations airing Shelton’s concert are Digital Drive-In in Mesa, the drive-in at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek, West Wind Glendale Drive-In and WestWorld of Scottsdale.

The show also will air at Tucson Dragway Drive-In, Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, and two El Toro Flicks locations, in Oro Valley and Tucson.

How to get Blake Shelton tickets

Unlike traditional concert tickets that are bought for individual admission, each ticket for Encore Drive-In Nights will admit one passenger car, truck or SUV.

Up to six people (as many as there are legal seat belts) will be admitted per vehicle.

Tickets are $114.99 per vehicle. They go on sale Tuesday, July 14, at https:// www.ticketmaster.com/encore-blakeshelton. For more information, visit https://encorenights.com or call your local theater.

COVID-19 precautions during the concert

Encore Live conceived the series as a creative way to present live music in an open-air environment while keeping fans a safe distance apart during the new coronavirus pandemic.

Venues hosting Encore Drive-In Nights will adhere to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines as well as all state and local health mandates. Here are some of the precautions:

Staff will wear personal protective equipment and enforce at least 6 feet of space between cars.

Payment and ticketing are contactless.

iiRestroom capacity will be limited. Concession operations will abide by individual state regulations.

In a press release, Shelton said, “This is such a great way to enjoy music with your family and friends and stay safe. I’m excited we’re getting the chance to perform a concert for fans and we’re going to go back and play old hits like ‘Austin,’ newer songs like ‘God’s Country’ and we might even introduce something brand new!”

The series was launched after Brooks played to more than 350,000 fans on Saturday, June 27, in a concert streamed on more than 300 drive-in screens.

In a press release, Encore Live founder and CEO Walter Kinzie said, “After the overwhelming response to Garth Brooks’ drive-in concert feature, we knew we had to launch Encore Drive-In Nights to provide music fans across the USA and Canada the chance to see their favorite artists in a cool new way.”

Additional Encore Drive-In Nights performances will be announced. Performers and ticket information can be found at https://www.ticketmaster .com/encoredriveinnights.
