Ethan, 20, sophomore Arizona State

Has excelled no matter what sport he has chosen to pursue, even excelling in wrestling which he credits for instilling a discipline in him. His role at ASU has started out much like the one he had at West Linn, Oregon when he arrived there, only to find a highly touted quarterback ahead of him on the depth chart. He had to wait two years before getting a shot at quarterback, contributing elsewhere until then. He ended up throwing for 3,247 yards and 31 touchdowns as a senior and was named a finalist for the state’s player of the year award. “I just want to be out there on the field. If it isn’t quarterback I’ll play any where. I like what I get to do here because I have a chance to impact the game in a lot of different places.”

Seth, 22, senior, Northern Arizona

The oldest of the trio is a junior as far as eligibility but a senior academically and plans on applying to graduate school. If he gets in to one he says he’ll probably go rather than finish out his eligibility on the gridiron. The other option is to purse and advanced degree if he wants to continue playing. He missed the balance of last season with a knee injury but was expected to be a big contributor this season. Seth was a late bloomer when it came to football and had originally planned on pursuing baseball at the college level. It wasn’t until his senior year of high school he started thinking about football which was one of the reasons he was under the radar when it came to college offers. NAU was his first Division I offer and has been the perfect fit. “It really does remind me a lot of home so I think that’s why I like it so much. It gets cold and have seasons here.”
