Not so long ago, Clinton urged Biden not to concede if he lost

The article on the presidential transition reveals the duplicity of our revered members in Congress.

All mentioned that Donald Trump’s refusal to concede and allow for an orderly transition “constitutes a serious threat” to our democratic process.

I don’t recall their outrage over Hillary Clinton calling on Biden to refuse to concede if he lost, as she must have expected, or the Obama-Biden spygate during the Trump transition.

That is what many outside of their esteemed cabal feel was a “serious threat” to our democracy. But maybe this paper missed printing that.

Trump’s base never did care that he is a threat to the country

It isn’t hard to categorize Trump and his minions as folks who care nothing about this country, its people or its democracy.

There are so many examples that prove this fact that the difficult thing is trying to convince his supporters and enablers without having to resort to terms like: insane, vengeful, racist, divisive and just plain stupid.

It isn’t that the terms used are not applicable and correct; it’s just that his base just doesn’t care. They don’t care that he can’t substantiate any of his accusations; they don’t care that his actions are non-sensical and destructive; and they don’t care to learn the truth.

Their positions are being actively fortified by a constant barrage of disinformation from both foreign and domestic sources. The most notable inside source is the GOP, itself. Rather than stand up to this dictator wanna-be; they cower in their plush caves and hope no one will remember their dereliction of their oaths come next election.

They are being assisted in this effort by what used to be called “The Fourth Estate” - the newspapers. With few exceptions, being politically correct appears to have replaced condemning cowardly behavior and blatant lies
