– Brian Lee Siken, 59, of Phoenix, AZ., died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020 in Arizona. He was born in Phoenix to Jim and Waleda Siken on April 9, 1961. He graduated from Alhambra high school in 1979, in his free time he was regularly involved with Bethany Bible Church as the youth leader. He graduated from Arizona State University, Tempe with a degree in Business Administra­tion in 1984. He married Sheila Kluck on Aug. 30, 1986, and they made their home in St. Paul, MN. They later moved to Denver, Colo., where he completed his Master’s of Divinity at Denver seminary. After he graduated, they moved to Ramona, Calif. In 1991, they moved to Lodi, where Brian served as the youth pastor at Grace Point Church for 13 years and pastor of Disciplesh­ip-Outreach for 5 years. His wife Sheila was the key ministry partner with Brian sharing in many of his church activities for those last 15 years. Brian led several mission trips with the youth group at Grace Point Church, including trips to Brazil, Mexico and New Mexico. He especially enjoyed watching his own children play basketball, softball and swimming, and with family he enjoyed camping, backpackin­g, and traveling with their trailer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Siken. Survivors include his three children, Lydia, of Austin, TX; Jacob, serving in the Navy; and Joel, of Mesa, AZ; his father, Jim Siken of Phoenix, mother, Waleda Siken of Phoenix; two brothers, Paul (Colleen) Siken of Phoenix, Steve (Debbie) of Phoenix; and one sister, Donna (Tony) Behrens of Phoenx. An informal memorial gathering with close friends and family is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9th at Horizon Presbyteri­an Church, Phoenix, AZ. Memorial gifts can be made in Brian’s name to Hospice of the Valley (www.hov.org). This was the organizati­on that cared for Brian over the past six months. They did a fantastic job and eased the family’s minds as Brian went through ups and downs.
