Recreational marijuana sales started Jan. 22 in Arizona at 73 locations throughout the state, following the passage of Proposition 207 in November. Arizona is one of 15 states and the District of Columbia to legalize adult recreational use of marijuana.
Here’s what you need to know about recreational marijuana, and the locations that are now selling it.
How much marijuana can I buy at once?
You can buy an allotment of up to an ounce of marijuana. Proposition 207 limits possession of recreational marijuana to that amount.
When are the dispensaries open?
Hours are set by the cities where they are located. Call the dispensary for specific hours. Not all the dispensaries that received approval from the Arizona Department of Health Services on Jan. 22 plan to open on that date.
