The buzz about town says Buzz is looking for a home
Every year, approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter shelters nationwide, according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Of those, about 3.3 million are dogs and 3.2 million are cats.

Buzz: A sweet, senior dog
There is plenty of buzz on whether or not this adorable pup is some sort of sheep/dog hybrid with his cute little ears and fluffy coat but either way he is as cute as they come! Sweet Buzz is a gentle 10-year-old poodle that was brought to the Arizona Humane Society in December of last year when he was found as an injured stray by a Good Samaritan.
Once evaluated, it was determined he would need a groom for his matted fur and surgery to remove a mass, as well as get rid of some of his rotten teeth in AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital. With February being National Pet Dental Health Awareness Month AHS wants to remind pet owners that pet dental health is extremely important for our furry friends’ overall health and is one of the most common problems seen in both shelter pets and owned pets. AHS performs hundreds of dental procedures each year to help pets keep their pearly smiles bright and keep them as healthy as possible!
Now that Buzz is feeling much better, he is hoping to find a quiet home that he can get all the attention his little heart desires. Additionally, this sweet boy can be a little shy so AHS recommends he meets the whole family that is open to giving an adorable senior pet lots of love for the rest of his golden years.
How to adopt: The Arizona Humane Society’s adoption locations remain closed as the shelter continues to heal and rehabilitate pets coming in but its Virtual Matchmaking Adoptions by appointment is available to place pets with their forever families.
