LIGHTNING 2, Red Wings 1 : Andrei Vasilevski­y made 25 stops to move to 12-0 lifetime against Detroit and lead the Lightning to a victory on Saturday. Tampa Bay has won 17 consecutiv­e home games against the Red Wings.

PREDATORS 3, Blackhawks 0: Juuse Saros made 41 saves and the surging Predators beat the Blackhawks. Eeli Tolvanen, Colton Sissons and Luke Kunin scored for the Predators.

SABRES 3, Rangers 2 (SO) : Tage Thompson scored the only goal in a shootout to decide the Sabres’ win over the Rangers.

ISLANDERS 3, Flyers 2 (SO) : Mathew Barzal scored in the shootout and the Islanders beat the Flyers on Saturday night, extending their dominant play at home. Barzal scored after Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin denied Flyers captain Claude Giroux’s chance to win the game.

Stars 3, HURRICANES 2 : Tanner Kero snapped a tie 2:52 into the third period,

and the Stars beat the Hurricanes to post consecutiv­e victories for the first time since the opening week of the season.

PANTHERS 5, Blue Jackets 2 : Alex Wennberg had his first career hat trick as the Panthers won. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 44 shots for the Panthers.

Senators 6, CANADIENS 3 : Evgenii Dadonov scored twice and Artem Anisimov had a goal and two assists as the Senators defeated the Canadiens.

AVALANCHE 2, Blues 1 : Cale Makar scored with 40 seconds left to lift the Avalanche past the Blues. Philipp Grubauer stopped 27 shots for Colorado. The Avalanche have won four in a row.

Wild 2, GOLDEN KNIGHTS 1 : Joel Eriksson Ek scored the tiebreakin­g goal in the third period, Cam Talbot made 27 saves and the Wild defeated the Golden Knights. The Golden Knights are mired in their first three-game skid of the season.

Sharks at KINGS, late : The Kings host San Jose after the Sharks shut out Los Angeles 3-0. Martin Jones earned the victory in the net for San Jose after collecting 30 saves.
