– Charles Edgar George passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 13, 2021. He was born in Ogallala, Nebraska on January 17, 1943, but grew up on a ranch near Solen, North Dakota. He graduated from high school. there. Charles was drafted into the Army and served 2 years in Okinawa and Vietnam. After marrying Heather in 1968 and continuing a 2 years course to be a machinist, they moved to Arizona. Since 1971 they enjoyed living in the Scottsdale home and raising their 2 sons, Gregory and Kenneth. After joining Scottsdale Presbyteri­an Church he served as a member of Session several times. He also served as church sexton, head usher, and member of Habitat for Humanity, and offered to assist with church projects where needed. He was and active member of the Boy Scouts for many years even after his sons attained Eagle Scout and Life Scout. He and Heather enjoyed traveling both in this country and abroad. They have been to England twice, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Netherland­s. They also cruised to Hawaii, Alaska, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Charles is survived by his wife Heather, sons Gregory and Kenneth (Angela) 3 granddaugh­ters, 2 great grandsons, sister Betty Celley, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Esther George, and his beloved dog Copper. A Celebratio­n of Life will be held on Saturday, April 10th, 2 PM at Scottsdale Presbyteri­an Church, Hayden @ Osborn. In lieu of flowers contributi­ons to Scottsdale Presbyteri­an Church will be appreciate­d. www.greenacres­mortuary.net
