Cardinals sign pair of linebacker­s to tenders

The Cardinals announced they have signed five former recently undrafted rookie free agents and that restricted free agent linebacker Dennis Gardeck and exclusive rights free agent linebacker Kylie Fitts have signed their one-year tenders.

Gardeck had seven sacks, 10 quarterbac­k hits and a fumble recovery in just 93 defensive snaps last season in 14 games before suffering a torn ACL. Selected as a special teams captain, he also added nine tackles on special teams.

Fitts had six tackles and one quarterbac­k hit on defense and added three tackles on special teams in 13 games, including one start, in 2020.

In other news, the Cardinals have signed running back Tavien Feaster, wide receivers Darece Roberson Jr. and Andre Baccellia, linebacker Jamell Garcia-Williams and defensive lineman Ryan Bee.

Feaster (6-0, 221) spent time on the practice squads of the Lions and Giants in 2020 after entering the league with the Jaguars as an undrafted rookie free agent out of South Carolina. He spent his first three college seasons at Clemson and finished with 2,002 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns.

Roberson Jr. (5-9, 170) played at Wayne State, where he appeared in 43 games (33 starts) and had 92 receptions for 1,767 yards and 24 touchdowns. He was also a return specialist, averaging 24.2 yards per kickoff return with one touchdown and 11.8 yards per punt return with one touchdown.

Baccellia (5-10, 175) spent training camp with the Chiefs and Patriots after signing with Kansas City as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Washington. In 48 career college games, he caught 107 passes for 1,1832 yards and five touchdowns.

Garcia-Williams (6-7, 264) signed with the 49ers as an unrestrict­ed rookie free agent out of UAB in 2019. He was used primarily as a defensive lineman and had 44 tackles, 151⁄2 for loss and nine sacks in two seasons with the Blazers after spending two years at Eastern Arizona College.

Bee (6-7, 280) entered the league with Washington in 2019 as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Marshall. He spent the majority of his rookie season on Washington’s practice squad. In 44 games at Marshall, Bee totaled 200 tackles, 291⁄2 for loss with 18 sacks, seven passes defensed, four fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles.
