RANGERS 6, Devils 3: Pavel Buchnevich celebrated his birthday with his first career hat trick. Artemi Panarin had a goal and three assists and Ryan Strome had a goal and an assist in a three-goal first-period outburst.

Capitals 6, FLYERS 3: Alex Ovechkin led Washington with two goals, and Dmitry Orlov, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Conor Sheary and Anthony Mantha also scored. Ilya Samsonov made 22 saves for the Caps.

Penguins 3, SABRES 2:

Tristan Jarry stopped 27 shots and Pittsburgh jumped into second place in the East Division standings. Bryan Rust and Evan Rodrigues scored second-period goals in helping the Penguins improve to 10-2-2 in their past 14. Jared McCann also scored.

Senators 4, CANADIENS 0:

Drake Batherson scored two goals, including a powerplay shot in the third period, and Artem Zub and Nikita Zaitsev added one goal each for Ottawa. Matt Murray made 23 saves in the shutout.

COYOTES 3, Blues 2:

Arizona fell behind 2-0 in the first period, but goals from Alex Goligoski, Clayton Keller and Michael Bunting decided the win. Darcy Kuemper made 20 saves.

HURRICANES 3, Predators 1:

Jani Hakanpaa and Andrei Svechnikov broke open the 1-1 tie in the third period to decide the game for Carolina. Jaccob Slavin scored in the first period, and Alex Nedeljkovi­c made 27 saves.

Panthers 5, LIGHTNING 3: Brandon Montour, Patric Hornqvist, Jonathan Huberdeau, Frank Vatrano and Anthony Duclair all scored for Florida. Sergei Bobrovsky made 28 saves for the Panthers.

Blackhawks 4, RED WINGS 0:

Malcolm Subban made 29 saves for his second shutout of the season as the Blackhawks blanked Detroit on Saturday night. Patrick Kane, Alex DeBrincat, Wyatt Kalynuk and Pius Suter all scored for Chicago.

Oilers 3, JETS 0: Tyson Barrie and Alex Chiasson both scored on power plays, and Jesse Puljujarvi added another goal for Edmonton. Mike Smith made 26 saves for the Oilers in the shutout.

WILD 5, Sharks 2: Mats Zuccarello, Joel Eriksson Ek and Zach Parise all scored goals in a 72-second stretch near the end of the first period. Kirill Kaprizov and Nico Sturm added goals in the second period to help Minnesota pull away.

STARS 5, Blue Jackets 1: Vladislav Gavrikov scored early in the first period for Columbus, but Jamie Benn, Denis Gurianov, Joe Pavelski, John Klingberg and Esa Lindell all answered to propel Dallas.
