Dylan Anderson, Gilbert Perry, 7-0, Jr. Made huge improvemen­t from his sophomore to junior year with his ferocity in the paint. Could go inside or outside with equal impact. Was out the last three games with a concussion, and the Pumas exited the 6A playoffs in the quarterfin­als.

Will Menaugh, Catalina Foothills, 6-10, Sr.

An enforcer in the paint, he was a throwback center who played with his back to the basket and was nearly automatic to score in the paint whenever he was fed the ball, even fending off doubleteam­s. Led Falcons to their first 5A title.

Took over in the playoffs, leading the Vikings to the 6A championsh­ip. He averaged 15 points, four rebounds and three assists. In the biggest games, he was tremendous, putting the team on his back.

One of the greatest players in school history, he averaged 25.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 1.9 blocks.

A dynamo with the ball in his hands, he was constant motion for the Wolves, with his dazzling display of talents, scoring and passing. He averaged 22.7 points and 6.2 assists.

A game changer on both ends of the court, Phelps helped lead the Knights to their first state championsh­ip since 2009. He played on a team of standouts and rose to the occasion in the biggest game.

The only fulltime starter from the 2019-20 state championsh­ip team, he carried the Thunder into the 16-team 6A tournament, averaging 23 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Impacts the game inside and outside. Ability to knock down 3-pointers. He could post his man inside for points. Clutch rebounder and defender.

Remarkably, he averaged 18.1 points and 18.1 rebounds. He had 32 points and 26 rebounds in a win over Willow Canyon late in the season.

He did it all on the court. Score, rebound, pass, defend. He had more than 600 assists in his career. Steered team to 4A final, before losing to St. Mary’s by three in the championsh­ip game.

Trenton McLaughlin, Chandler Basha, 6-4, Sr.

He averaged 19.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the Bears. He made 65 out of 160 3pointers (41%).

A dynamic scorer, he averaged 22 points, leading the Pride to the 6A final, before losing by only a point to Sunnyslope. Could score inside and outside. Great outside shooting touch. Great rebounder and defender.
