$10.5M home sale in golf community sets record

The sale of a modern home in north Scottsdale’s Desert Mountain set a new price record for the golf community.

$10,500,000

Janet and Danny Dryer paid cash for a 6,900-square-foot house in north Scottsdale’s Desert Mountain, a record for the golf community. Janet Dryer is chair of Minneapoli­s-based Perforce Software.

The modern house with many glass walls has five bedrooms and 61⁄2 bathrooms. The guest wing has four en suites with steam showers and private balconies. The master bath is encased in white marble with a glass door leading

to a private balcony. The great room opens onto an 800-square-foot resort patio.

Jeffrey and Jeanne Smith of Tulsa sold the house. Russ Lyon Sotheby’s Internatio­nal Realty agents Kathleen Benoit, Anne Morrissey, Bee Francis and Karen Baldwin had the listing.

$7,290,000

An LLC named after the address of the house, led by Taylor Jannsen, paid cash for a new Paradise Valley mansion with 9,000 square feet of space, five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The modern Mediterran­ean estate built by Legendary Homes is in the Cameldale corridor. It comes with a modern chef’s kitchen, his and her offices, game room, full bar, 1,500-square-foot guest house and a five-car garage with air conditioni­ng.

Another LLC named after the address, led by Gregory and Audrey Stanford,

sold the house. Gregory Stanford is a real estate agent.

$5,000,000

The Debra A De Leeuw Trust paid cash for a 6,230-square-foot Paradise Valley house at the base of Camelback Mountain. De Leeuw is a director at CVS Caremark. The contempora­ry house with five bedrooms and 41⁄2 bathrooms also has an oversized cook’s kitchen, an eight-car garage and rooftop deck. Linda Cohn, vice president at Industrial Packaging Corp., sold the home.

$4,925,000

Linda Cohn, who sold the third priciest house this week, purchased a slightly less expensive Paradise Valley mansion near Mummy Mountain. The 10,456square-foot house with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms has a resort feel, elevator, casita and solid wood floors,

according to the listing. Former banker Daniel Rohr sold the property.

$4,500,000

The Eble Trust of Black Diamond, Washington, led by Timothy and Lisa Eble, paid cash for a 7,300-square-foot mansion with six bedrooms and 51⁄2 bedrooms in Scottsdale’s Desert Mountain community. The contempora­ry house on 2.2 acres has window walls, no stairs anywhere and a master suite with a sitting area, study and expansive closet.

John and Renee Stanton sold the house. John Stanton is the founder and co-owner at Almark Foods Inc., a Georgia-based egg-processing company that opened a Yuma production facility in 2018.
