The Islanders denied the Rangers a fifth straight win Tuesday. Josh Bailey scored twice, and Brock Nelson, Anthony Beauvillie­r, JeanGabrie­l Pageau and Jordan Eberle added goals. Semyon Varlamov made 25 saves.

PANTHERS 5, Blue Jackets 1: Florida extended its home winning streak to seven. Sam Bennett scored two goals, and Alexsander Barkov, Ryan Lomberg and Jonathan Huberdeau also scored. Spencer Knight made 33 saves.

Hurricanes 4, LIGHTNING 1: Nino Niederreit­er, Jordan Staal, Steven Lorentz all scored in the second period for Carolina, and Jordan Martinock added another. Alex Nedeljkovi­c notched 26 saves.

PENGUINS 7, Devils 6: New Jersey’s six-goal third period wasn’t enough to avoid extending its skid to seven games. Sidney Crosby’s goal in the third period preserved the Penguins’ victory.

STARS 5, Red Wings 2: Dallas extended its home winning streak to four on Tuesday with another win over Detroit. Tanner Kero, Jason Robertson and Joe Pavelski all scored in the first period to make it 3-0, and Jamie Oleksiak and Blake Comeau later added two more goals.

Maple Leafs at CANUCKS (late): Toronto looked to break its four-game skid with a victory over Vancouver. The teams met for the second straight game, with the Canucks winning 3-2 in overtime Sunday.

Ducks at KINGS (late): Los Angeles hosted Anaheim on Tuesday. In the teams’ last meeting on March 10, Los Angeles beat Anaheim 5-1.

Avalanche at BLUES (ppd.): The NHL postponed the game after a third Colorado player entered COVID-19 protocols.
