Chris Anger

-

With much sadness and love, the family of Chris Anger announce his departure from this life on April 1, 2021. Chris was born on October 28, 1995 to Nancy and William (Bill) Anger and immediately became a joy to his parents and siblings, Carolyn, Jeffrey and Jack. Never one to sit still, Chris was drawn to any and all competition – including trying to keep up with his three older siblings. If there was a gym, court, field, park or pool, Chris would be there. The world was Chris’ playground. In his younger years, he played football, basketball and baseball and in high school he played lacrosse, one year earning “most valuable player.” He had confidence, coupled with the relentless pursuit to be his best self, which served him well in life. Whether it was attempting to dunk a basketball, perfect a kickflip on a skateboard, polishing his gainer in the pool, achieving acceptance into the Eller Business Program at the University of Arizona or passing his Series 7 exams, Chris worked tirelessly to achieve nothing but his best. Chris graduated from Brophy College Prep in 2014 and from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management in 2018. He was passionate about his career in investment planning and worked tirelessly to achieve nothing but his best. Chris had a natural ability to listen, craft the perfect text message for any situation and be present when someone he cared for was in need. In college he inspired others to join him in the library to study. Later in life he became a great mentor and lunch buddy, helping solve life’s problems with his friends. Chris will always be remembered for sending his daily workouts to friends and motiving them to “get on his level.” In addition to his parents and siblings, Chris deeply loved his sister-in-law, Anna, niece, Hazel Jae, his many uncles, aunts and cousins and the multitude of friends with whom he grew up and spent much of his time. He touched the lives of so many. The immediate family is so very grateful to all those who have reached out to us to share stories of their adventures with Chris and to offer solace in our grief. Chris always will be with us through our memories and the love that he brought to all of our lives. A celebration of life prayer service will be held at Brophy Chapel, 4701 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix on Thursday, May 6th at 4:00 p.m. A private funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 7th at 10:30 a.m. and can be viewed online at https://youtu.be/ NzqHeK7hfuA. Memorial contributions can be made to Loyola Academy at Brophy College Preparatory in memory of Christopher Anger, Class of ‘14. Loyola Academy is a middle-school program that educates young men who, because of family circumstances, might never have the opportunity for a college preparatory education.
