John William Parker, 81, passed peacefully in his home on April 20, 2021. He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Parker, son Steve Parker, and grandson Shane Parker. He is survived by his first wife Carole Bellis, his brother Tom Parker (Joy), daughter Pam Whiteman (Blake), sons Jeff Parker (Lorri) and Don Parker (Daneda), stepchildr­en Terry Rohrs (Steve), Mike Bei, and Lynn Swanson (Dwight), 12 grandchild­ren and 6 great-grandchild­ren. Born in Wichita, Kansas in 1939, John moved to Lincoln, Nebraska after the War, and moved to Arizona in 1953 with his mother Helen and brother Tom, making Arizona his home. He graduated from Scottsdale High School in 1957, and earned a degree in Accounting from Arizona State University in 1969. He worked for Garland Steel and Motorola before joining Westcor, where he worked for 32 years, retiring in April of 2007. John enjoyed working on projects around his home, traveling and building model airplanes. He always enjoyed hosting his annual Super bowl party. John was heavily involved in the Arizona community. He was a lifetime member the Scottsdale Jaycees, serving as the Parada Boss in 1971, and a lifetime member of the Scottsdale Charros, making the Charros Ride a 46 year tradition. He was deeply involved with the Boys and Girls Club, where he served as President of the Board of Directors in 1984. He was also involved with the Sunrise Rotary, McCormick Railroad Club, and the Corvette Club.

Arrangemen­ts by Messinger. A Celebratio­n of Life Service will be held at a later date. Because John was deeply involved with the Boys and Girls Club, in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale.
