Barbara Jean Menges (84), wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on October 17, 2021 after an 8-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Barbara was born in Louisville. KY on February 10, 1937 to George and Ann Vick. She graduated from duPont Manual High School in 1954 and married the love of her life, J. Kenneth (Ken) Menges in 1955. Although she grew up in Louisville, Barbara lived in Baltimore, MD, Nashua, NH, Dallas, TX and Washington, DC before settling in Scottsdale over 44 years ago. Wherever Barbara lived, she made friends easily; made sure she and her children were involved in many activities and was very active in Church. She worked for Motorola, U.S. West and was Office Manager of a small Computer Leasing firm. Barbara loved traveling to Europe, England, Scandinavia, Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand with Ken. She also loved camping with her children and grandkids and escaping in the summers to Oceanside, CA. She was a devoted Phoenix Suns fan and a season ticket holder for many years.

At Mountain View Presbyterian Church, Barbara was a Church Elder; a Stephen Minister; the wedding coordinator; a tireless worker for the Churches Annual Rummage Sale and leader of the Nifty Fifties Senior Group.

Barbara was her Grandkids biggest cheerleader and supporter. She attended countless band or piano concerts; song and dance performances; every sporting event the Grandkids were in from basketball to soccer to volleyball and was their number one fan.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Ken Menges, her children, Ken Jr, (Katy); Doug (Linda); Pam Sepper (Tim); and Carolyn Friedman (Rich); her 12 Grandchildren; Katy (Galen), Megan, Stephanie (Gustavo), Emily, Hannah (Austin), Christine, John, Matt (Heather), Michelle, Grace, Nicole, and Lyric, as well as 5 great Grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8050 East Mountain View Road, Scottsdale, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley or Mountain View Presbyterian Church.
