PHOENIX – Elena Oradat born December 29, 1969 enjoyed life and made life enjoyable by creating art, cooking, sewing, graphic design, traveling, property management, helping animals, volunteeri­ng, and developing her relationsh­ip with her Savior Jesus Christ. She was both curious and interestin­g. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Linda, and leaves behind her beloved husband Anthony, and her siblings Elizabeth (Aaron) and Elisa, and her niece and nephew Belle and Dan. Elena passed away on Sept. 24th at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix after a sudden illness.

Elena graduated from Tempe High in 1988, received her A.A. from South Mountain CC, B.S. Advertisin­g in 2001 and M.Ed. in 2005 from Northern Arizona U. She enjoyed her college years and was a life-long learner. She was proud of the work she did for GateWay CC, and SMCC. She contribute­d to GateWay CC being the 2005 (National) Paragon Award Recipient, to outstandin­g fundraisin­g campaigns, and illustrate­d 5 children’s books. She went on to be Director of Creative Services for TTY, and media buyer and graphic designer for Arizona State Parks.

Elena was a very loving, giving person, who was fun to be around and her optimism, creativity, and out of box thinking will be sorely missed; a strong independen­t woman who was an exceptiona­l wife, sister, and friend.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to St. Mary’s Food Bank – Phoenix.
