No. 8 Michigan 21, No. 23 Penn State 17: Cade McNamara threw a 47-yard touchdown pass to tight end Erick All with 3:29 left and No. 8 Michigan stayed in the Big Ten championsh­ip race by rallying to a road win on Saturday. McNamara completed 19 of 29 passes for 217 yards and three touchdowns to boost the Wolverines (9-1, 6-1 conference, No. 6 CFP). Hassan Haskins ran for 156 yards on 31 carries and Roman Wilson caught a pair of TD passes for the Wolverines.

No. 20 Wisconsin 35, Northweste­rn 7: Braelon Allen rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns to help host Wisconsin earn its sixth consecutiv­e victory on Saturday. Graham Mertz threw two touchdown passes, and Wisconsin’s defense recorded four intercepti­ons. Northweste­rn’s Andrew Marty was picked off three times for a second straight week.

Wisconsin (7-3, 5-2 Big Ten) entered the day in a four-way tie for the Big Ten West lead with Minnesota, No. 19 Iowa (No. 20 CFP) and Purdue (No. 19 CFP). The Badgers already have beaten Iowa and Purdue. They visit Minnesota on Nov. 27 to close the season. Northweste­rn (3-7, 1-6) lost its fourth straight. Rutgers 38, Indiana 3: Isaih Pacheco scored two touchdowns Saturday and Rutgers took advantage of six turnovers, putting the visiting Scarlet Knights on the cusp of postseason play. They are one win away from becoming bowl-eligible.

The Hoosiers (2-8, 0-7) have lost six straight.

No. 6 Ohio State 59, Purdue 31: C.J. Stroud threw for 361 yards and five TDs, freshman TreVeyon Henderson rumbled for two more scores and No. 6 Ohio State struck early and rolled over visiting Purdue.

The Buckeyes (9-1, 7-0 Big Ten, CFP No. 4) scored on all seven of their first-half possession­s.

Ohio State romped early, capitalizi­ng on two Boilermake­rs turnovers, the second of which was a fumbled kickoff recovered on the Purdue 14. The 12-yard catch by Garrett Wilson two plays later gave the Buckeyes two touchdowns in 14 seconds.

Wilson had 10 catches for 126 yards and three touchdowns. Jaxson Smith-Njigba followed up a 15catch, 240-yard effort last week with nine catches for 139 yards and a TD.

No. 8 Michigan State 40, Maryland 21: Payton Thorne threw two of his four touchdown passes to Jayden Reed, and Kenneth Walker ran for 143 yards and two scores, helping the host Spartans bounce back from their first loss. The Spartans (9-1, 6-1, No. 7 CFP ) stayed in the Big Ten championsh­ip race.

No. 19 Iowa 27, Minnesota 22: Alex Padilla threw for two touchdowns and ran for another in his first career start, and No. 19 Iowa withstood three fourthquar­ter comeback attempts to win at home Saturday.

The Gophers had 189 rushing yards. That was the most this season against the Hawkeyes, who came into the game ranked eighth nationally in rushing defense at 98.6 yards per game.
