$9.625M Scottsdale mansion with 2-story office tops list

Most of the buyers of last week’s priciest metro Phoenix homes paid cash, spending almost $30 million total. Most of the houses were in Scottsdale, and big wine cellars were a popular feature.

The Lisa and Steven Cassidy Joint Trust paid cash for a 10,349-square-foot mansion in north Scottsdale’s Silverleaf community. Steve Cassidy is a partner with the property management firm Taygran Inc. The house, with six bedrooms and 71⁄2 bathrooms, has a gated drive that leads to five garages. It also comes with a two-story office with a spiral staircase, a 1,000-bottle wine cellar and butler’s pantry. The Heidenreic­h Trust, led by Gary and Kathie Heidenreic­h of San Francisco, sold the home. Last month, couple paid $21.5 million for another Silverleaf mansion called the Castle on the Hill. Barry Van Patten of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s Internatio­nal Realty had the listing for the $9.625 million house.

The Karen and Nathan Sandler Trust of Los Angeles paid cash for a new 6,863square-foot Paradise Valley house with four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The house has floor-to-ceiling walls of glass overlookin­g Camelback Mountain. It also comes with a split floor plan, an exercise room, a den and a two-room guesthouse. Camelback Land LLC sold the house.

The Grover and Linda Chicoine Trust purchased a 7,271-square-foot house in north Scottsdale’s Estancia community. The couple paid cash for the Santa Barbara-style house with four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a large theater, a great room with bar, 1,000-bottle wine room and guest house. Anthony Esernia sold the property.

Lars & Pen LLC of Washington paid cash for a new house in north Scottsdale’s Desert Mountain. It wasn’t listed for sale, so little informatio­n on it is available. Cintarosa Ranch Holdings LLC, led by architect Justin Kilbane, sold the home.

$4,526,000

Delaware LLC PV Farms 8016 purchased a Paradise Valley house that wasn’t listed for sale. JRH AZ Reno 1 LLC, led by Jamie Hormel, the former wife of the heir to the Spam dynasty Geordie Hormel, sold the property.
