Kathleen “Kathy” Ruth Heskin

-

SCOTTSDALE – On November 1, 2021, Kathleen “Kathy” Ruth Heskin went home to be with Jesus at the age of 75 surrounded by family and friends. She was an amazing woman who lived a life in service to her Savior. Kathy found joy in loving others, especially her family. Her absence leaves a hole for those left behind, but we rejoice in the knowledge that she is healed, whole and no longer in pain.

Kathy was born on April 24, 1946 in Aitkin, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents Alan and Beatrice Lindwall, her Aunt Onie and Uncle Roy, her brother David, her sister LaDonna, her daughter Cassandra Heskin and her adoring husband Richard “Dick” Heskin. She is survived by her four children: Dean Heskin (Bronwin) of Scottsdale AZ; Kailani Henderson (Ron) of Scottsdale AZ; Karla Luna (Hector) of Maricopa, AZ and Kolleen Moosman (Criss) of Helena MT. Kathy also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren who will all miss her dearly.

Kathy lived with her Aunt Onie and Uncle Roy for many of her formative years. During this time, Kathy accepted Christ as her Savior which both thrilled and surprised those around her as everyone had believed she was already saved due to the fact that she chose to live her life in such a wholesome manner. After her salvation, she became very active with the Soul’s Harbor Church community and would regularly go out to witness to the homeless.

On December 2, 1967, she married the love of her life, Dick. After living in Minnesota at the start of their marriage, Dick and Kathy joined Kathy’s sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Chuck Harris, in Arizona where they set down their roots and lived for the rest of their marriage and lives.

Kathy worked alongside Dick (until he passed) in their income tax business for over 50 years. She was dedicated to her clients and loved her annual visits with clients who often became friends.

Kathy loved nothing more than Jesus, her family and her country. Godly to the core, she surrounded herself with scriptures and positive quotes and never missed a chance to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus on Christmas. By spreading her love, warmth and brightness, Kathy touched the lives of anyone who met her. We will be celebrating her life and legacy on Thursday, December 2, 2021(their anniversary) at 3:00pm at Scottsdale Worship Center in Scottsdale, AZ. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Torbrook Manor staff as well as Hospice of the Valley for their love and care of Kathy.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Compassion International or Teen Challenge in her memory.
