I hope the real truth on Sarver comes out in NBA investigation

-

Today’s news is so much he-says, she-says or just plain gossip. I have serious doubts about the controversial accusations from fired disgruntled employees against Phoenix Suns’ managing owner Robert Sarver.

Mr. Sarver, as the Sun’s owner, has had some long lean years and took his chances with young untested head coaches and players.

The season before last his gifted general manager, James Jones, made some great trades for veteran team players, acquired the best passing and shooting point guard in Chris Paul and supported probably one of the best head coaches in Monty Williams.

The result? Robert Sarver’s Suns were two games from winning the NBA Finals last season.

In this society today, we seem to want to knock immediate success and spread very old rumors from when the Suns were perennial losers. Why didn’t these stories come out then, when Coach Earl Watson was given the opportunity to become the young and untested head coach of the Phoenix Suns?

I hope the real truth comes out after an honest investigation by the NBA.

In the meantime these rumors have affected Mr. Robert Sarver, his wife and his children. Mrs. Penny Sarver seems to be a loving and loyal wife to her husband and does not want to see her children hurt.

She, impulsively, wrote to three instigators of these allegations and asked them to put the shoe on the other foot. Why can’t we settle issues person to person, not through media sensationalism and litigation today?

If you are a loser or mediocre no one cares, but the minute you lead the pack and become an innovator, you are a target.
