Here are Thanksgiving Day turkey trots for all ages
There’s no rule that says you have to work out before you dive into that decadent Thanksgiving pie or dig into an extra plate of sides. But it can be fun and rewarding to get a little sweat in before enjoying your Thanksgiving feast, especially when there are other people to do it with.
Why not start your holiday by running a turkey trot? These casual, noncompetitive runs are in person again this year after having mostly been virtual last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They range from short distances for little kids up to 10K for older children and adults.
Many turkey trots benefit local charities. Visit your run’s website to learn where the proceeds go. And most races offer fun swag for runners. You could go home with a T-shirt, medal or finisher’s certificate.
