A ‘sleek modern’ Paradise Valley home now sells for $6.8M

A safe room, an oversized solar pumping system and a full-sized elevator are features of the priciest homes to sell in metro Phoenix last week.

$6,800,000

Jeffrey and Elizabeth Garrett bought a new 7,182-square-foot Paradise Valley home. The house with four bedrooms and five bathrooms is described as having “sleek modern finishes and tranquil water details.” The home also comes with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and views of Camelback Mountain. Invergordo­n Investment­s led by Sabin Burrell, founder of several financial tech firms, sold the home. Christophe­r Karas of Launch Real Estate had the listing.

The Stanton McBurney Trust of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, paid cash for 7,104square-foot “European estate” with four bedrooms and six bathrooms in Paradise Valley. The home situated on four acres has two driveways, patios backing up to Mummy Mountain, a full-sized elevator, a wood-paneled den and a safe room.

The Jean Ferrand Trust sold the home.

$5,350,000

Michael and Stephanie Cima purchased a 4,900-square-foot house in north Scottsdale’s Desert Mountain community. The home with five bedrooms and 5 1⁄2 bathrooms has interior walls of glass and stone, multiple outdoor fire features and an oversized solar pumping system.

David and Heather Kerrigan sold the house.

Jeffrey and Sharon Jonas of Park City,

Utah, bought an 8,100-square-foot mansion in north Scottsdale’s Desert Mountain. He is a real estate agent, and Sharon Jonas is an interior designer. Their home sits on a 1.72-acre site and has electric telescopin­g window walls as well as a “palatial” master retreat with patios on each side.

A Delaware LLC called WFI Arizona sold the home.

$4,300,000

The Buxbaum Trust led by Jason and Michelle Buxbaum of Phoenix-based Jevan Capital paid cash for a 7,055square-foot “old world estate” on 2.5 acres near the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix. The house comes with a butler’s pantry, a Scotsman ice maker, an outdoor wood stone pizza oven, a koi pond and steam showers. The Wendell Cook Trust sold the home.
