TEMPE, AZ – Joseph Eugene Dressendor­fer, Jr., 81, of Tempe, died November 10, 2021. Born to Joseph Eugene and Genoah Fay August 25th, 1940 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He graduated from Fayettevil­le High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years and reserves for two years. Joe married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Mulligan, on October 10, 1964, and devoted 35 years of service to Salt River Project, inspiring a second generation of utility employees. Joe loved the outdoors and encouraged his family to connect with nature and the creator who made it. He was a man of faith, attending Grace Community Church with his family and pointing people to God, through his life and missionary service with his wife.

Joe is survived by his wife, Patricia, his sister, Linda Sue Vanderpool of Fayettevil­le, his children Casey (Tina), Brady (Treva), and Abby (Michael Mendonca) of Arizona; grandchild­ren Jessie, Katie, Jake, Kaden, Anita, Brandon, Michelle, Cassandra, Rylan, Derby, Genoah, Berea, Scotty, McKenna and Analeigh; and great-grandchild­ren Summer, Dexter, Emma, Phoenix, Johnny, Kyra, Amie and Joseph. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Genoah Dressendor­fer and great-grandchild Anna. A graveside service at Tempe Double Buttes Cemetery was held on November 15, 2021, and a Celebratio­n of Life service will be held at Grace Community Church in Tempe on December 11th, at 3:00 PM. Donations in lieu of flowers would be appreciate­d for Arizona Game and Fish Department or East Valley Hospice.
