Else Monstad Hundseid

MESA, AZ – Else Hundseid, age 90, died April 10, 2022 of natural causes. Else was born January 30th, 1932 in Oelen, Norway, one of six children to Inga and Einar Monstad. She took the boat to America to meet the love of her life Torger in 1953. They were married the same year in Great Falls, Montana and lived there until 2006.

Else worked at D+S Fabrics, Pin Cushion, and Scan Am Furniture. She was a wonderful hostess to friends and family throughout her life. Else had many interests such as home design, traveling, camping, fishing, and hunting - she even shot her own deer. She was active in Sons of Norway.

Else and her husband traveled to Florida and their winter home in Arizona for years until they moved to Mesa, Arizona permanently.

Else is survived by her daughter Nancy and son-in-law Rolf Helge, grandson Andreas with wife Melissa, great granddaughters Mia and Nora, grandson Marcus with wife Martine, great granddaughters Millie and Maia, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Torger, her granddaughter Heidi, and her five siblings in Norway.

Else was a loving wife, mother, supportive grandmother, and friend and a kind person loved by many. She will be missed by all.
