Giants: Mike Yastrzemsk­i went 1 for 4 in his first game back from the COVID-19 list. He missed seven games. Luke Williams, the final batter in Tuesday’s loss to the Dodgers, got optioned to Triple-A Sacramento to make room.

Dodgers: LHP David Price has rejoined the team after testing positive for COVID-19 on April 24. He won’t be ready to pitch until next week at the earliest, but will travel to Chicago with the Dodgers this week.

Reds: RHP Luis Castillo is expected to make his season debut Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Castillo, who has been recovering from a right shoulder strain, struck out seven and allowed three hits over 4 1⁄3 shutout innings for Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday in his third rehabilita­tion appearance. … Reds manager David Bell said it would likely be “more than a couple of days” before Joey Votto plays again.

Angels: RHP Austin Warren, who suffered a nasal fracture when he was hit in the face during Red Sox batting practice on Tuesday, was placed on the injured list and is expected to undergo surgery when the team returns to Los Angeles.

Nationals: Manager Dave Martinez said RHP Cory Abbott had a plasma injection in his left elbow last week and won’t be able to throw for at least another five weeks. … Martinez said DH Nelson Cruz (back) was “still a little stiff ” and kept out of the lineup, a day after he was lifted for a pinch hitter. Cruz was available to pinch hit and could return Thursday. … RHPs Stephen Strasburg (neck) and Joe Ross (elbow) threw live batting practice in Florida. … Gary DiSarcina continued to coach third base after taking a foul ball off the back of his head while standing in the dugout in the fourth.

Rockies: OF Kris Bryant (back) is still only throwing and not hitting, manager Bud Black said, making it unlikely he’ll be ready to play when he’s eligible to come off the injured list Friday.

White Sox: LF Andrew Vaughn (bruised right hand) is headed to the 10day injured list. … 3B Jake Burger (left knee soreness) could return this weekend, manager Tony La Russa said. … 3B Yoan Moncada (right oblique strain) and RHP Joe Kelly (right biceps) could return Monday when the White Sox open a seven-game homestand.

Cubs: LHP Wade Miley (left elbow inflammati­on) will start Thursday for Triple-A Iowa on a rehab assignment. … INF David Bote (left shoulder) fielded grounders and is scheduled to take live batting practice this weekend.

Padres: 1B Luke Voit (biceps tightness) went 0 for 2 with a walk, run and strikeout in the first game of a rehab assignment at Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday. Voit could be activated from the injured list when San Diego gets home.

Orioles: RHP Chris Ellis had arthroscop­ic shoulder surgery performed by Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington, Texas. Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Ellis is out for the season.

Phillies: Bryce Harper will continue to serve as the team’s designated hitter for the foreseeabl­e future. He hasn’t played right field since April 16 due to a strained right elbow. He does not have a date when he is scheduled to throw again.
