GILBERT – Sharon Rae Polson was a loving wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away at the age of 80 on Friday, May 6, 2022, at her home in Gilbert, Arizona, with her family by her side.

Sharon was born August 21, 1941, in Florence, Arizona, to Ray and Juanita Davis. She graduated from Coolidge High School in 1959, and in August of 1960 married Clifford Garland Polson of Casa Grande, Arizona, and had two children, Clifford Kevin and Shawna Kay.

Sharon’s love for her family and church was evident in all that she did. She was a devoted wife and mother, always finding time for others. She was a school volunteer, an active Board Member for the Chandler Meals On Wheels organizati­on, secretary at the Chandler Church of Christ, and a pre-school teacher with a long waiting list to get into Miss Sharon’s class. After retiring from teaching, her love and guidance continued with her grandson, Logan. Sharon was the epitome of a true Christian woman.

She was survived by her children, Clifford Kevin Polson and Shawna Kay Chapman, her grandson, Logan Stephen Buchanan, her siblings David Duane Davis and Marlene Kay Wolf and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 12, from 5pm – 8pm at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, AZ 85248. Funeral services will be Friday, May 13, at 10:00am at the Alma School Road Church of Christ, 445 N. Alma School Rd., Chandler, AZ 85224, with the graveside service immediatel­y following at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery.
